Four bars of each chord. Alternating between Dm7 and Dm6. Essentially a II V progression, but looking at it from the same root, thereby minimising what notes need changing to easily play over those changes.

Dm7 as a common minor pentatonic = D F G A C

Dm6 as a pentatonic = D F G A B

These notes happen to be the same as for a G9 arpeggio: G B D F A
Or if played as a scale: G A B D F = G dominant pentatonic

Mind blowing stuff, but super cool: Only change one note and it becomes a different scale! 🙂
