A track based on the chord changes to “The Thrill Is Gone”, a slow blues in B minor, played with a straight feel.
This is a great track to explore how the B minor pentatonic changes tone colours over the various harmonies. A nice touch is to bring in the A# note over the F#7 on the turnaround… or not and let the A natural be a b3 blues note over the F#7, up to you.
I love playing over this track and can totally lose myself in it… What time is it? Gosh, I was gonna go to bed two hours ago…. oh well, just once more. 🙂
